Each year at Kips Bay in NYC, celebrated interior designs are invited to transform a room in a show house and this year I’m thrilled that my bronze sculpture ‘Ophelia’ commissioned by Simon Orrell Designs has been showcased by Richard Rabel in his stunning design for the Gallery Entry and Lower grand Staircase. See the image on my instagram!
Also this week I have been invited to hold workshops at a school nearby working with the pupils to ...
Recently I’ve discovered that there are a number of my fantastical pieces in the collection of the WMODA Weiner Museum of Decorative Arts in Florida. http://wmoda.com There is an exhibition on at the moment there until June 28th called Fantastique where there are a number on display. In between these I am finally starting on carving a new body of work more experimental and abstract whilst still maintaining the fine skills – and with the assistance of a magnifying glass! Designing patterns as a base then abstracting them the attached image is one such.

I still have some lovely pieces properly stored ready for new homes 3 of which are wending their way across the Atlantic.

I have been life drawing daily which has been fantastic and inspiring and brushes up on the old pencil skills! Hoping to start making again and experimenting further with the designs in clay! In the meantime I shall leave you with a close up image of a piece I made earlier this year of Water Buffalo, a finely carved plaque measuring ...
After a successful Art in Clay – a huge thank you to the organisers! – I have had a little time off to recuperate and now about to get back to the drawing board with the ideas for new work that keep appearing in my minds eye! While there are a few lovely pieces still awaiting new homes this framed bas relief plaque has found a new owner.

Its been a busy few weeks I have been asked by Bonhams to make a piece for their October sale so have worked hard designing and making what will hopefully prove a show stopper! As yet I cannot share details but keep an eye out over the next couple of months!
